I definitely found this album as one of the most underappreciated albums from Metallica. This along with "Master of Puppets" was imo Metallica at their best.Track 1 Fight Fire with Fire- 6/10 This song starts with a classical piece and than turns into a big rocker. A little death metallish but a good songTrack 2 Ride The Lightning- 8/10 This is imo one of the best solos Kirk Hammett has done. For those that play guitar it is almost impossible to duplicate this classic solo. Track 3 For Whom the Bell Tolls- 9/10 A little more catchy song with some really nice riffs. James Hetfield's vocals are great in this song. Track 4 Fade to Black- 10/10 Probably the most popular song on the cd. My favorite song as well. It starts off with a slow beginning. This song definitely is a little depressing if you read the lyrics but begins to rock out later in the song. Track 5 Trapped Under Ice- 4/10 Probably the only filler on this cd. It continues with the message from Fade to Black but definitely not as good.Track 6 Escape- 6/10 This is a solid song. Slightly better than Trapped Under Ice. This song is about getting freedom. Track 7 Creeping Death- 9/10 This is probably the second best song on the cd. There is a catchy little phrase in the middle of the song that say "Die by my Hand. I creep accross the Land. Killing first born man." A must have song.Track 8 The Call of Ktulu- 9/10 A great instrumental. This shows more of the classical music influence by Metallica. The drums and bass compliment well in this song.
