<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">So now it's Luke Ridnour's turn. He'll start the final three games at point guard for the Sonics and replace Ronald Murray, whose days as commander of the offense in Seattle are likely over. One young point guard, the Sonics can handle. But two is too many, and Murray's versatility, scoring ability and propensity to commit turnovers will force him to give up the position he has played since high school. "I've been a point guard my whole life," he said yesterday. "I know I can play this position if they'd just let me." For the past 10 months, Murray has been trying to convince the Sonics that he can lead the team with the ball in his hands. He starred on Seattle's summer-league team last year and this week started two games at point guard. Still, coach Nate McMillan isn't convinced. His assessment of Murray's performance against Dallas and San Antonio, when he faced Steve Nash and Tony Parker, nearly matched the scouting report on the second-year guard before the season. "Offensively, I think he can score on them," McMillan said. "But keeping those guys in front of him, he had a problem doing that." </div> <font size="1">Full Story courtesy of Percy Allen and the Seattle Times.</font> Good to hear. Luke's obviously been caught up in a deep guard rotation, where as a rookie, was always going to be the one spending the most time on the pine. The last three games will be against Dallas, Houston and the Clippers, so he will get a test against Steve Nash and Steve Francis. Next season will say a lot, though. He is a hard worker, so I am intrigued to witness his future in this league. Other brief notes: - Leon Smith plays Dallas on Sunday, who tried and failed with him after he was drafted. He will likely get his fair share of minutes, and says he is a much matured person since his troubled days there. - Reggie Evans will not play due to his Grandmother's funeral, and Ansu Sesay will make his first start of the season. - Rashard Lewis is expected to play after m issing the loss to San Antonio with hip and knee troubles.
