Rio Grande Valley's Andrew Goudelock Signs with Los Angeles Lakers

    The Los Angeles Lakers today signed Rio Grande Valley Vipers guard Andrew Goudelock for the 34th GATORADE Call-Up of the 2012-13 NBA Development League season. Goudelock joins 127 players with NBA D-League experience currently on NBA rosters.

    Goudelock (6-3, 200, College of Charleston) has appeared in 37 regular season games, all starts, for the Vipers, averaging 21.4 points, 5.8 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 36.7 minutes. He began the season with the Sioux Falls Skyforce, playing in 14 games before being traded to Rio Grande Valley in January.

    In total, Goudelock appeared in 52 regular season NBA D-League games during the 2012-13 season, averaging 21.1 points, 5.2 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 37.1 minutes. Goudelock played in one playoff game for Rio Grande Valley before signing with Los Angeles, scoring 27 points in 47 minutes as the Vipers defeated the Maine Red Claws in the series opener.

    Goudelock rejoins the Lakers having been selected by the team in the second round, 56th overall, in the 2011 NBA Draft and playing in four games for the team during the 2011-12 NBA season. A four-year starter at the College of Charleston, Goudelock appeared in the 2011 Reese's College All-Star Game

    He is expected to join the team today and be available when the team hosts the San Antonio Spurs at 9:30 p.m. ET.
