Sad to hear the passing of drummer Ginger Baker who was part of one of the first super groups. Cream consisted of Baker along with Jack Bruce and Eric Clapton. He was considered one of the best drummers in rock and blues.

He was a legendary drummer ….I watched the documentary on Netflix of his life and looks like he was a violent, bitter man ...abusive...loved horses...lived out his life in South Africa..RIP

My cousin & I hit all the 60s concerts when we were teens. We saw Cream in 1969, had great seats, ears rung all next day. Jack Bruce & Eric Clapton left the stage and a hyped up Ginger Baker played solo for 45 minutes. Crowd went insane. An abbreviated drum solo is in Toad on the epic Wheels of Fire album, IMHO one of best rock albums ever.

Thinking of the old song, if there's a rock and rolll heaven, you know they have a hell of a band. And just got a hell of a drummer. Unique.

He and Keith Richards always made me think, man you can't kill these British drug addled rockers ..they must have Black Plague resistant DNA ...guys are substance abusers of every type ...drink and chain smoke and Keith is still rockin while Ginger lived to be 80.....dudes are ironmen
