    He was one of my favs back in the day, yet he was a "coulda, shoulda, woulda" casualty. Much like Mantle, Joe's talent was obvious but he adopted a self destructive lifestyle and wasted a great opportunity.

    I still remember shaking my head after reading the book "Joe, You Could've Made Us Proud".

    Mick, Maris...Pepitone, Tresh, the 4 Musketeers
    RIP Joe. At one time expectations of Joe becoming the next Mick were unrealistic, unreasonable, because there could only be one Mick in the history of MLB, and Yankee Gods!
