I missed the start, did he say anything?
The preceeding game went long, so I didn't see the opening. By the time I found the right channel, the game had already started.
A monkey banging on a keyboard for eternity will eventually produce the entire works of Shakespeare. Just sayin'
I could probably spank out a couple of Haiku's from my monkey on a good day
Schonz is one of the greatest Trailblazers of all time.
The games weren’t all on TV back when I started following the Blazers in 1990. Had to listen on the radio. I’ll never forget “You gotta make your free throws” and “Nobody said it was going to be easy.”
Used to see him and his wife at Sunriver back in the late 70's at the pool.
He and Glickman were kind of the last of the pioneers.
I guess Bucky Buckwalter is still roaming around somewhere
Hey - let's keep it clean! lol
Man. I just saw the news. I knew this was coming and still it really hit me hard with the official news. I feel like a friend just died. I loved listening to Schonz on the radio. He is the most Blazer person that lived. We lost a good one. RIP good sir. Every time you hear someone say RipCity an Angel gets its wings.
I was at a Pride event in San Francisco and saw a motorcycle group with the name Rip City Riders. I asked if they were from Portland. They weren't, got the name from let it rip. Said people always asked if they were from Portland and didn't know why.
Did you educate them?
RIP Dottie....another tale of couples passing within a short time of each other....92 is a good run!
Together, walking the beaches of paradise. Special .
