Yeeeeikes. But at least the money went to a good cause. Gotta make sure your party's resident MILF keeps the 35-55 male crowd interested. -Pop
Substantive, and the clothes are being donated to charity after the election. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2008/10/sarah-palin-won.html Keep on hitting the real news like this, and keep on ignoring swindles like the "Global Poverty Act".
When both sides are telling people who are struggling that they understand their plight and will work in Washington to change things, are you going to believe the campaign whose visible female (Michelle Obama) buys her dresses at The Gap, or are you going to believe the campaign whose visible females (Sarah Palin and Cindy McCain) spent more money in a month on clothing than their entire household will earn in two years? Regardless of whether the clothing is being donated to charity after the campaign or not, it doesn't send the smartest message to a huge portion of voters. Like it or not, that is news. Oh, and by the way, PapaG ... let me give you a little tip. Independent voters are turned off by your conspiracy theories and allegations of seedy associations. It's part of the reason the McCain campaign is sinking like the Titanic right now. -Pop
If we're talking about spending, then you gotta mention Mr. Obama who is about to break all records for elections, while people in his own city (chitown) go without food or shelter night in and night out. At least be clear when making such accusations and set the record straight for both sides.
The Obama campaign has spent over $400,000 on food. 21 million dollars on polling FWIW. I don't mean to sound harsh, but since when did the DNC and RNC become the Community Food Bank? I was under the impression that when you give to these organizations, that the money was going towards getting their candidates get elected. Palin is constantly in front of a camera, and she has to look good, it's part of her appeal, and this is a non-issue.
