NASCAR announced that Sprint Cup driver Robby Gordon has been placed on probation until Dec. 31 for Friday's altercation with driver Kevin Conway. Immediately following the incident in the garage area at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, NASCAR had put Gordon on indefinite probation as it continued to look into his actions. Gordon, driver of the No. 7 car, was penalized for "actions detrimental to stock car racing," according to a news release from NASCAR.
