I guess getting even 50p on the pound now is out of the question...

Arsenal have issued an official statement that confirms Robin Van Persie has chosen not to stay with the club. He has one year remaining on his current contract. In order to avoid losing him on a free transfer, Arsenal will likely look to sell. No word yet on his preferred destination, though the most immediate bidders seem to be Manchester City, Juventus, and, sadly, Barcelona.

Sad day. We stuck with the guy through a litany of injuries, knowing his potential and what he could become, and now that he has peaked as a player and is fit, he wants out.

Not only does this make it hard for us to get a fair price for him, it makes the club sound like they lack ambition. Ugly all around.

Beginning to fear that the money made from the RVP and Bendtner transfers will cover the money spent on Podolski and Giroud... same as it ever was.

Giroud and Podolski are going to have to come out guns blazing this upcoming season. We are going to have no time for acclimatization.

I have no problems with selling RVP.

I don't think he'll ever have another season like this one. Sell high!

But I'll be damned if I'd sell him to anyone in the EPL. I'd rather let him rot on the bench in the reserves, and lose him for nothing.

Arsène Wenger is still doing his best to keep him although it is almost clear that he will leave. A lot of clubs have shown intrest mainly United and City but RVP wants the same wages as Rooney and City are not willing to pay that, neither is United by the sounds of it. I still think he will go abroad.
