There is a lot of speculation that the Yankees are trying to move Cano to get either Kemp, Kershaw or Billingsley. Personally I'll rather hope to god that doesn't happen. Kemp > Cano
I'd love to see the Yankees nab Billingsley. But why would the Dodgers do it? There are a lot of holes to Cano's game. -Petey
Cano is among my favorite Yankees, but I trade him + a good prospect (Alan Horne level) for Billingsley and don't look back. Thankfully, Clayton (who looks like a stud) pitched like poop for you guys last year, so we might be able to give up Cano and get him and a bit more. CC/Wang/Joba/Billingsley/Pettitte or CC/Wang/Joba/Pettitte/Kershaw and Hughes splitting time? Do want. Do want indeed.
"Rumors flew Tuesday that the Dodgers and Yankees were hot in talks about Matt Kemp and/or Russell Martin, for Robinson Cano. Not so, according to sources. "There were meetings all day," said one talent evaluator. "Nobody's had time to get hot on anything, except for the Peavy thing."" http://insider.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index?entryID=3683528&name=olney_buster Not gonna lie, i wet myself. If we get Martin, move Posada to 1st. This blocks Jesus, though
Order in which I want the rumored players: Billingsley Kershaw Kemp Martin. Martin is last just because I have a crush on Jesus.
I like Cano, but unless he becomes more selective at the plate, we're gonna see up and down years from him. Hopefully not as bad as last year though. If he'll swing at anything, pitchers will keep throwing him outside, up and down. -Petey
Oh. Maybe they are further along in discussions on Orlando Hudson than we know... it was rumored the Yankees would go after him. -Petey
He was terrific last year( better than Cano), and was a defensive stud. There are reports that his defense is slipping though, and he's definitely not a great offensive player. 1 on 1, I'd rather have Cano, but he's great backup plan
