    16 ST games & 49 ABs Cano has 7 HRs & 16 RBI while hitting 388.

Last season it took Cano around 80 games & 300 ABs to reach 7 HRs. Apparently it pays to play along side Nelson Cruz & have guys like Melky Cabrera & A-Rod as your close friends.

I hope you're right Ron. Lets hope he doesn't feel the need to justify that albatross of a contract by taking short cuts.

Perhaps not being given a pass by a mgr that played racial favoritism means he has to perform.

The HR's will slow down once he's back in the misty humid low pressure constant wet air of Safeco, his HR's will taper off, .... IMHO...!

Unless perhaps he is juicing and masking, and if so, when will he get caught, it would only be a matter of time, maybe years, a Subject Tote is better suited to answer, (on masking agents in use for todays juicers) ...

Personally, I'd not be surprised if Cruz found an alternative PED, or masking agent, to evade tests. Cruz tho' he is a cheat, may be a Richie Allen type, if not juicing...? Nah, that's blasphemy to Allen...!

Allen & his 40 oz bat was fun to watch during the 60s as a member of the Phillies.

...Richie Allen and Dave Winfield hit the ball harder than anyone I ever saw play...they hit laser like line drives...I would not have wanted to be an infielder when they batted.

    ...^^^

Allen began his career at 3rd base, most of the time; but played in the OF, then pretty much ended the last of his years at first base, (but ya' knew that).

Is it just me, or do hitters, who play 3rd base, often seem to pull the ball down "thunder alley"....

Allen, like many others, Mick, Cepeda, Perez, Winfield, Greg Luzinski (sp?), Willie Horton, Brian Downing, to name but a few: hit some of the hardest lasers through the INF, as defense-men had to react in less than a second....a fraction of a second, makes me appreciate Brooks Robinson, that much more...

how could anyone forget some of the bullets these guys hit, especially in person at a game(s), when the ball is but a blur, from the seats...

Willie Stargel was once asked if he enjoyed talking to opposing players when they reached 1st base & he said he did EXCEPT when dead pull hitter Willie McCovey was up.
