MVP: Cuttino Mobley (His play has been very consistent, his big games have also translated into wins)

    Most Improved Player: Kelvin Cato

Rookie: We've got none, but Torraye Braggs should have taken it.

    6th man: Maurice Taylor

Most Overrated: Clarence Weatherspoon. (I think he has to lose some weight in order to be a prime contributor)

Most Underrated: Scott Padgett (Not getting the PT he deserves, but can hit clutch shots.)

I've also got to add that Yao Ming and Steve Francis' play have been inconsistent. Yao has had a few big games, but his career high remains at 30. He also needs to work on his free throw shooting and bring it back to 80% where it was last year. Francis needs to step up his assist numbers and improve his shooting. Hopefully these two can turn their game around and maybe bring us fans a top 6 finish in the West.

Yao Ming was on a roll the beginning of the season but the past few games Yao has averaged 12 points and 6 boards. I think Steve Francis and Cuttino Mobley should have team MVP honors.

Francis' play so far has been inconsistent. Maybe he'll pick it up in the new year.

MVP: Kelvin Cato-the man is a beast defensively and this is the perfect system for him.

Most Improved Player: Maurice Taylor...averaging 1-2 more boards a game, taking charges like a madman, and just overall is showing a more strong commitment to defense. Offensively, he is a reliable post scorer who is a go-to guy when the offense is hurting.

    Rookie: N/A

    6th man: Maurice Taylor, again.

Most Overrated: At this point, I'd say Yao Ming. At 16 ppg/ 8 rpg, thats not gonna cut it at all. He shows no aggressiveness and seems to be burnt out.

Most Underrated: Jim Jackson-the guy is the definition of a professional, leading the team both offensively and defensively and always guarding the opponent's best player.

MVP: I think the MVP of this team so far has to be a tie between Kelvin Cato and Maurice Taylor. Both of these guys have stepped up their game this year tremendously. They sacrafice their bodies every night on the court and they have come up big when we need them. Francis and Yao are just not having that great of a year so far.

Most Improved Player: Kelvin Cato - This guy is an absolute beast. Sure he might not be the best offensive player however he does his job and he does it well. He is everywhere on the defensive side of the ball from blocking shots to making rebounds. Jeff Van Gundy really likes this guy and I do to. He is a great player to compliment Yao down low on defense.

6th man: Maurice Taylor - He is having a great year. He provides that instant spark off the bench which we so desperately need at times. He has been given the minutes this year and is really coming along quite nicely.

Most Overrated: Yao Ming is not having as good of a year as everyone has expected. I have not seen the toughness and dominace that I would have liked to seen out of him this year. Hopefully he will improve on this in the second half of the season. I like most Rocket fans are absolutely sick of seing him get 15 and 8 a night. The Rockets really need him to be more of a force and get 20-10 a night.

Most Underrated: Jim Jackson - This guy is an absolute workhorse for our team. He is an underrated defender and is a very good all around player. He has to guard the other teams wing best player usually every night and so far he has done a pretty good job I think.
