I can see them going farther this season if Ming picks it up a little! (not that he was slacking) I can't wait to see Shaq vs. Ming again!

I absolutely LOVED the stripes! I didn't want them to go but with all the other news things for our Rockets it would have been like having a new outfit, a nice new hairstyle, new undies and all with old shoes. It just would have been wrong!!

If our bench is cohesive I see us being at least a 6 seed. Anything better will be extremely tough and along the lines of "a miracle".

I definetly see us making the playoffs however it will take a miracle for us to beat teams like LA, Sacramento, Dallas and San Antonio. All four of those teams are better than us. Hopefully we can get a good match up in the playoffs so we can advance to the 2nd round.

This year will be very exciting. Im anxious to see how the tandem of Francis and Ming develops. THe Rockets will be fun to watch this year for sure,

You forgot Minny. They are going to be another powerhouse in the West. The Rockets should make the playoffs, and it would take a serious injury to Yao or Franchise to keep them out. It will be hard to pull an upset in the first round especially with the new 7 game series format. Van Gundy's presence will make a huge difference on the mentality of this team and they will start winning a lot of the close games and will not lose to weaker teams. I think it was a mistake to let Posey go, and they will need Griffin to finally produce consistently to make up for losing Posey. The Rockets will be a lot better after Rice and Mo Taylor are off the books!

Will the Rockets use EDDIE at SF and TAYLOR at PF?

The FIRST person that needed to be off the books was Kelvin Cato!!!! Where is the "rocket" that needs to be under his a s s to shoot him out of Houston??

When Mo came back he put up some good #'s and rockets were winning i think they should keep Mo and send out Rice and Cato.

I think we should keep cato..he knows hes there to get rebounds and play tough d while yao is resting and is satified with his role ..im in favor of keepin rice since i think this is his last year on his contract, he provides quality veteran leadership and has proven he can still hit the 3 and even take it to the basket if need be...and after the season the rocks will have playoff experience hopefully and we can dump rice's salary and make a nice signing next offseason

the rockets should make the playoffs this year. the top 5 are going to be the spurs, lakers, kings, mavs, and twolves. as of right now, i think the suns are a better team than the rockets. that means the rockets would be fighting with portland for the 7th seed with the loser getting the 8th. that isn't bad for now, since the rockets have a pretty young team with lots of room for improvement. but that also means they will have to play one of the big 5 in the 1st round. i think that the rockets have a chance against everyone but dallas and the lakers(not saying the rockets will win the series, but they definately could).

the rockets definately should keep cato though. he is not worth the contract. he is overpaid. but he has become the best backup center in the league. he is great to come in, be a big body, get some rebounds, block a shot, and get a couple of dunks while ming rests. even if he makes too much, he is prefect for the team. mo taylor could go(though no one would want his contract) only if the rockets could get another pf back. he still can help the rockets as a good scorer when other people are having bad games. rice doesn't really matter and i doubt he gets much playing time. he will be gone after the season anyway.

and eddie griffin is not a sf. he is a pf and van gundy needs to use him more in the post. he isn't nearly as effective when playing on the outside. the sf position should be handled by griffin(not eddie), piat, nachbar, and rice.
