He has been arrested for possessing marajuana and he deserted the team and wont give reasons why to the organization. Not to mention that he shot at a girl at his house just recently. He is not someone you want around your organization. I frankly agree with the Rockets on this one.
Does anyone remember when Griffin punched his teammate at Seton Hall? Ever since then he has been labeled a headcase.

What a waste of talent though, very sad.

This is pure BS on Griffin's half. I wish someone paid me millions to play the game I love. To play it at the top level in the world. Why do people throw away their careers when there are thousands upon thousands of people who would just lobe one chance at making it to the league. I never can understand this. Millions of dollare for playing a game.....a game you love. He wasted his career. He has no one to blame but himself. I hope for himself he figures this out.

He wasn't given an extension because of his off the court behavior was unsatisfactory and his conduct was "detrementle to the team." If he did not have the off the court problems he would have been given the contract extension.
Houston picking up Griffin's option would have made for a PR nightmare of titanic measure. There's no way anyone in the league touches this guy. He truly needs help before he can even begin to consider resuming his basketball career.
