http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/415...acquire_snyder/ <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Houston Chronicle - The New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets traded Kirk Snyder to the Houston Rockets for future considerations. The Rockets did not have to give up a player to add Snyder, sending cash and future draft considerations ? likely no more than switching second-round draft positions ? to the Hornets.</div> I like it. He is definitely going to come in and provide energy off the bench. Plus he will be more valuable that you think with Bogans gone to Orlando and David Wesley probably going elsewhere.
Pretty good move. They are weak at SG, and this guy is athletic. I think everyone saw his posterization (forget who it was on). He can get through there and dunk on people. He is pretty talented, and a good bench option, who is still only a 2nd year player...

I jumped out of my seat when I saw that on the highlight reel. But yeah, Snyder is a good scorer, a high energy player, and a hustler. He will fit well in Houston's system and I think Van Gundy will like him. By the way, he's entering his 3rd year, not 2nd.
Damn, you got a decent player for really nothing. Not a bad move this time by Rockets. Also, I watched your team's summer league, nice team. I think there's a good chance 4 players are on the team this year in Hayes, Lucas, Novak and Carroll. All 4 will be good NBA players. Lucas especially impressed me.
i remember at one point new orleans was 18-10 when Snyder started. Pretty good pick up for basically nothing. But what is future considerations? I always thought that was money, but they said cash and considerations.

It looks like a rematch of rockets and mavs unless the divisions change. The rockets lineup looks good now.

And I'm not joking about that guys, after a game against the Jazz, Snyder had a confrontation with Stackhouse's wife near the departing buses that led to Stackhouse intervening and whooping his ass.
Guys don't get too excited. We gotta worry about the chemistry. I remember when he taunted the Rox bench and almost got into a fight. But we won >_>
IMO its a good move for Houston--ever since that retarded trade for Shane Battier, I think they will need Kirk Snyder to play the 2 since he is a great contributor whether he is starting or coming off the bench.
Kirk Snyder had about a good 15 game stretch, the rest of the game he did poorly. Once he starts getting on a roll he gets way over his head and starts making poor decisions. Hes better coming off the bench, and playing a pass first role.
^ Its not about his coaching, none of the players weren't playing well last season due to the injury of the superstars. If they were healthy, they would have made it to the post season. Jeff Van Gundy just uses a boring defensive scheme.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Im sure Jeff Van Dumby will put a stop to his poor decisions. >_>.</div>The same was said about Stromile Swift last year. How much did he improve this year? How much did he show. It may have been his own laziness, and reportedly he didn't have a great work ethic, but JVG isn't a miracle worker.
Mleh. Im sure someone can say something to Kirk. But yeah, Im still worried about the chemistry. He almost got into a fight with Bob Sura and JVG was about to go at em too.
The 1 problem i c with this guy is that he needs a load of playing time in order 2 play well, so he would do well at sixth man. And he might fit in well since I recently read that David Wesley might be headed to CLE.

Good thing, or who knows what would happen. I think (hope) that it shouldn't be a major problem.
