The Rockets lost to the Suns tonight 102-87. The Rockets gave it their all tonight however tonight their all wasn't enough. Tonight was their 4th game in 5 days and everyone of those games was in a different city.

The Suns had lost their last 8 of 12 going into tonights game. They shot horribly in the 4th quarter of those games however tonight that was not the same. They shot an astounding 70% in the 4th quarter tonight as they surged onto victory.

The game was a lot closer then the score indicates. With 4 minutes left to go in the game the Suns were up 83-79. Then the Suns went on a 19-8 scoring run led by Shawn Marion to end the game.

Yao Ming was plagued by foul trouble all night. He only got to play a total of 20 minutes.

One key stat was shooting. Phoenix shot 46.3% from the field and 44.4% from beyond the arc compared to Houston who shot 36.7% from the field and 28.6% from beyond the arc.

    Rockets Players
    Yao Ming - 14 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 5 fouls
    Stevie Francis - 14 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists
    Cuttino Mobley - 16 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists
    Jim Jackson - 9 points( 4-16 shooting), 9 rebounds
    Kelvin Cato - 16 points, 14 rebounds, 3 blocks
    Maurice Taylor - 10 points, 5 rebounds
    Eric Piatkowski - 6 points

The Rockets Player of the Game has to go to Kelvin Cato. He played a fantastic basketball game tonight on both ends of the court.

The Suns were led by Shawn Marion and Stephon Marbury. They both had 25 points tonight. Marion also had 11 rebounds, 5 assists and a block while Marbury dished out 7 assists.

The Rockets get an A for effort tonight.

What's the problem with Yao lately? His effort on the boards just doesn't seem to be there lately. I think he could not stand all the expectations placed on him to be a 20-10 man this season.

Ick... Rockets are starting to lose to everybody. Like franchise3 said... what is with Yao. This man should never have anything less than 8-9 boards on a TERRIBLE night.

Better turn this around before they find themselves playing catch up again.

Things still won't be looking good for them against the Pacers. Who can stop Jemaine O'neal?

Dexter, who do you think should be traded on the team?

Well you have to consider that Yao was out most of last night due to foul trouble. The whole Rockets franchise, including Yao, is in a major "slump" right now. Last night they were just tired. That was their 4th game in 5 days. All of the games were in different cities and they were all over the United States. Travel definetly has an effect and I think that is what happened last night.

It seems like the Rockets just cannot pull it all together. They either play great defense, have a good shooting night, or they get Yao active. We haven't had many games this year where all of these things have happened.

franshise3, I really don't think this team needs to make any trades. I think it is just a matter of time before they start hitting on all cylinders and get out of this "slump".

If anyone were to go, I wouldn't mind seeing Cuttino Mobley leave.
