<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Unaccustomed as he surely is to having to ask for playing time, Tracy McGrady was pretty good at it. With the Rockets down to their final three preseason games and with a regular-season type schedule of three games in five nights, McGrady had more than his fill of preseason schedules. He had waited since March for real games to begin. Patience running low, and with the past two league champions ? San Antonio tonight and Miami on Tuesday ? up next, he was ready to pretend to have reached the real games now to be ready for them when they do begin. "These last three games, definitely I hope that my minutes and the minutes of the guys that are going to be playing the bulk of the minutes of the games are out there together, and I hope we're on the same page," McGrady said. "It's time to roll now. We only have three preseason games left. I'm hoping my minutes increase to the 30s and I get into game form, game shape and get my rhythm and timing and everything down by Nov. 1 when it's time to roll, time to go." Starters McGrady and Shane Battier sat out the most recent Rockets preseason game. Yao Ming missed the first two. Experimenting with lineups and young players, Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy has had nine players average at least 20 minutes, 12 average at least 15.</div> Link Good to see TMac taking this with a sense of urgency. He wants to win.
lol I'm glad Tmac is so hyped up. Yao dominated Spurs(without Duncan) but his FG% skyrocketed and his FT% was 100. He looked good.
Good to hear Tracy McGrady's urge to already compete in the preseason. Just hope that nothing bad happens to him while he's doing so.
^^^don't jinx us!!!!...lol, but I'm soooooooooooo ready to get the season on the role....the rockets have got me excited.
