http://www.hoopshype.com/salaries/houston.htm So wait. We don't have Clarence any more, but he is still on our payroll because we "emancipated?" him right. Will he be off of our payroll when the season ends, or after the All-Star Break? Rockets are WAY WAY over the salary cap. Not as bad as NY/Dallas, but still. I think it's pretty funny that he is the second highest paid player on this team this season, yet no one will sign him as a FA for $3 Mil. I would start bitching about Moochie and Baker's $4 mil contracts, but everyone here is claiming that these 2 expiring contracts are worth a lot. We will find out before the All-Star Break though, right? If they are still on our payroll after the Feb deadline it will be the biggest waste of $8Mil ever. We could have kept Mo Taylor and used him for the playoffs against Dallas when we needed him. Or during the offseason when we could have brang in Damon Staudemire and/or Donyell Marshall. Alston, Anderson, and Swift all have good looking contracts with us. I think that they are all worth a lot than what we signed them for. YEA, Wesley and his $5 mil contract are going to be gone next season! I don't think he has the legs to finish this season, so how the hell could he come back for another one anyways. So even though Ward is our assistant coach, will he still be on our payroll next month? Damn I just started rambling out statements and questions. Sorry about that guys, but I wasl looking/thinking about the payroll while I was typing this. PS, LAST QUESTION! Are we really going to be paying T-Mac $23,239,561.00 during the 09-10 season, or am I missing something? That is more than Shaq.
wow... imagine if vin, weatherspoon, ward, wasn't here... we might have gotten damon staudumire... *sigh*

We won't be that much under the cap to sign another big name free agent, and we had already used our MLE and LLE on Swift and Anderson. And no, Weatherspoon's salary does not count against our salary cap right now. Under the Amnesty rules, we still have to pay him, but he won't be used in luxury tax and salary cap calculations.
