The Rockets will pick up their option on Head's fourth season, general manager Daryl Morey said Wednesday.

"He is a tremendous shooter, and I know coach (Rick Adelman) is really looking forward to seeing what Luther can do," Morey said. "He had watched him play at Illinois and feels there is more to his game than maybe Rockets fans have seen. ... We'll definitely pick up his option. He is worth more with his option picked up, and he is a part of our plans for the future." -- Houston Chronicle

No one opts out of Head.
Seriously though, that sounds great. I remember Luther drived to the basket more during his Rookie year, and I felt like JVG really limited Luther to just taking 3 pointers. I really look forward to seeing if Luther Head can take that next step this season and start creating more baskets for himself, and find ways to score without dominating the ball. With a new coach, and all the competition for spots, I am sure he has worked on his game even harder.
