Despite playing big minutes and being a strong rebounder and scorer early in his career, Weatherspoon said it wouldn't be easy going from the end of the bench into the starting rotation for the Rockets.

The transition hasn't been exactly smooth, but the veteran power forward has made strides since replacing Juwan Howard in the starting lineup four games ago.

Against Miami on Tuesday, Weatherspoon was aggressive on both ends of the floor. He blocked Dwyane Wade's first shot attempt and hit three field goals in the first quarter alone ? the most field goals he had made in an entire game since converting three Nov. 11.

Weatherspoon said the more he plays, the more comfortable he is becomes.

"You have to get used to being out there and get your confidence level up," Weatherspoon said. "I think that's the key and that's what I'm working on."

The Rockets have struggled to find a solution for Howard's absence. They have played five players at power forward in the past four games, and newly acquired Torraye Braggs was cleared to play for the first time by FIBA on Tuesday.

Despite six options and three games without Howard, the Rockets have yet to settle on a rotation. Weatherspoon and Scott Padgett have received the bulk of minutes, and Ryan Bowen has also played a considerable amount at the position. Against Minnesota on Sunday, Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy even inserted Dikembe Mutombo in the lineup alongside Yao Ming. Vin Baker has played only a handful of minutes.</div>

i want to correct my statement when i said "weatherspoon suck", he stunted me with his performance yesterday night.. so i think he just needs more time to adjust to his big role in the team now.. bowen also played well and full of energy, so i think rockets will be able to hang on for the mean time..
i really want to see torraye braggs plays, i wanna know how good of an addittion will he be for the rockets..
