<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">August 7, 2003 - The Houston Rockets have signed free agent Adrian Griffin to a contract, general manager Carroll Dawson announced today. The 6-5, 230-pound guard/forward has averaged 5.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.15 steals in four NBA seasons with Boston and Dallas.

?Adrian brings a defensive tenacity to the floor,? Dawson said. ?He is a tireless worker and his hustle will provide a spark for our team. Our main focus during this offseason has been to add players that will be a good fit in our system and Adrian is just that.? </div>

He was signed to a two year deal for the veteran's minimum. Getting Adrian was a good move overall for the Rockets. We didnt have to pay him that much and he is a great defensive player. He also provides the hustle that we need. He is a great role player for this team. This was a solid aquisition for the Rockets. I look for him to be Cuttino Mobley's back up and get around 10-15 minutes a game.
