Does anybody know the squad of west hams when they got relegated. Especially which players he brought to the club and who who was already there when he took over. I am trying to work out what kind of calibre the players in his team were that got relegated.
I am trying to make up my mind whether circumstances at the toon have been forced on him or whether its the decisions he has made.

Also does anyone know what formation he used?

Another thing I am curious about is the statement he made when he took over the toon. He said he was the manager who brought on the likes of cole and lampard. THe thing is, I listened to an interview by Harry Redknap and he said it was himself who was responsible for cole and lampard.

Last but not least, Did Roeder manage a team before the Hammers? If so, who was it? and what happened to them? I am now trying to establish the basis on why Freddie Shephard gave him the caretakers job originally. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated because I am extremely curious to the outcome of these questions.

The Hammers was Roeders first Managerial role.

He was youth team Coach at Newcastle after recovering from his tumor. He was a highly respected player whilst at Newcastle and QPR. I presume FS appointed him carteaker as he new the culture, expectations and had managed against the majority of the Premiership sides whilst at West Ham. It was highly unlikely that FS would have been able to lure away any rival premiership manager, of enough stature for the role, so when the position remained open and Roeder turned the team around, he felt compelled to give him a chance.
