    Why did Ron Paul run as a Republican? Shouldn't he have run again as a Libertarian?

    It doesn't matter which party he runs under, he won't get elected. I guess he figured he'd have a better shot in one of the two main parties.

    He ran as a Republican because he craved the spotlight of the Republican debates. He wasn't a half bad candidate. Unfortunately, the other half is crazy.
