http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...y-tracy-mcgrady-strongly-interested-in-lakers McGrady is very interested in joining the Lakers. I guess he realizes he is getting old (30 is old for T-Mac) and doesn't mind taking a reduced roll if he wants to get a ring. Bynum / Daco Gasol / Odom Artest / McGrady Bryant / Brown Fisher / Farmar
Where did all the Rockets posters go? I can't celebrate the Rockets by myself (Rockets = my 2nd fav team). Anyway, I made my thoughts clear in the other thread, so long as he's cheap and doesn't mind the reduced role (ala Lamar Odom aka Doom Alarm [switch the letters around, it works]), then I'm all for it.
I'm all for it if he's good with a reduced role. Give us some added firepower to the bench, something we need.
Either he will be a great addition who will help the Lakers win their third championship in a row, or he will be a terrible addition who moans and cries on the bench. There simply isn't a middle ground with T-Mac. I would love to see Phil coach him.
This would also address our PG problems. Start Kobe at the point and put tmac at the 2 spot LOL On a more serious note, the bench would look really good with farmar - sasha/brown - tmac - odom - powell/mbenga And at least, if ever he joins us, we could guarantee that he will finally get out of the 1st round (hope i didnt jinx it haha)
He'll be waived or traded if he's a distraction. I don't think TMac would pull a stunt like that in LA though. There's too many vets on the team and by accepting a job with the Lakers he'll concede to being a role player straight away. He'd be a perfect sub for Kobe because TMac can handle the ball and create his own shot still. The concern would be how committed is he to the defensive end? The Lakers won the title playing tenacious team defense against the Celtics. Some other free agent names circulating around the Lakers include Drew Gooden, Kurt Thomas & Brad Miller.
Fuck T-Mac. I don't like him. He doesn't deserve a ring, and he doesn't deserve to wear purple and gold. He would be a perfect fit for the Clippers.
I'm all for it if he is willing to accept a lesser role which I think he would. IMO its a low risk/high reward scenario. If he can play and get motivated for anyone its going to be the Lakers.
