Rangers and American League All-Star manager Ron Washington said he expects a fine for his comments against umpire Angel Hernandez after his ejection Sunday and stood by his criticism Monday.

Washington took the field Sunday in defense of first base coach Gary Pettis, who was ejected for arguing a balk call with Hernandez in the Rangers 6-4 loss to the Florida Marlins. Washington was eventually ejected as well by Hernandez leading to his postgame comment, "Angel is bad. That's all there is to it."

"I'm going to get fined," Washington said before Monday's game against Baltimore, the start of a new series with a different umpiring crew. "I'm going to get fined for what I told Angel. It might add to it what I said about Angel, but the truth is the truth."
