Ronaldo urges Deco take Man Utd over Liverpool (tribalfooball.com - May 13, 2007) Cristiano Ronaldo is urging Portugal teammate Deco to join him at Manchester United next season. United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is lining up several Portuguese stars for Old Trafford this summer, with Deco joining Sporting Lisbon winger Nani and Benfica ace Simao Sabrosa on his wanted list. Deco is also a top target for cashed up Liverpool and Bayern Munich, but reports in Spain and England today state that Ronaldo could influence the Barcelona ace in choosing Old Trafford as his next destination. Deco, what do you guys think?

A player as dangerous as Deco would be a superb acquisition for united. Stick him out on the wings and rotate him with Rooney and Ronaldo like is happening at the moment with Giggs. Giggs is said to be moving itno the centre and being a playmaker from there so we'd need another class winger. I'm sure Deco would rather link up with Ronaldo and Rooney than anyone at Liverpool. We need a striker over anything else though.
Love to see Deco at United, he's a superb attacking midfielder who can strike the ball dead clean. Of course Liverpool dont want them, its because they cant get him.
i hope we do get deco he will be a very good signing for utd. and it would be nice to see ryan giggs int the centre of midfield it will be a very good option for alex ferguson.i think ryan giggs would be better in the centre because he is now loosing a bit of pace.

I dont think we really need Deco, he is a good player but he cant pass the ball and falls over loads for free-kicks he wont get in the prem. I wouldnt want to buy him.

It's called versatility. Deco has the pace, skills and passing/crossing ability to play on the wing and tends to drift out wide a lot when he plays. Our attacking play relys on players drifting out wide then running at defenders and cutting back inside. Deco can do that as well as anyone in the game. So stop trying to patronise me and do your homework on the player and his style before trying to come the big one.
Woah calm down! Deco is not a right midfielder and he wont fit out on the right or left. And you said it as if he only plays on the left/right.
Soliborn, you always mis interpret what people say. What he means is Deco isn't a natural winger. Calm down, just cause our football knowledge is great and superior.
What's to misinterpret when someone uses that sarcastic tone and a roll-eyes smiley? I never said he was a natural winger. I'm saying he could play there when United's attack rotates during games. Fergie's already said he's moving Giggs to the middle next season so we'd need someone to plug that hole on the left in the attack. I can't think of many players who'd fit into our fast-paced attacking set-up.
Nani, Simao, Quaresma.. maybe one of these three could slip into the left because Richardson is just not good enough.
Richardson needs to learn how to do the simple things before trying to emulate Ronaldo. Short passes, dribbling, crossing, positioning, off the ball running. Not stepovers and flicks and beating a man twice. He's not fit to wear white boots. You wear flash boots, you better be good, or you'll just end up looking like a twat with too much money and ego.
Yeah I have noticed that Keiran tries to emulate Ronaldo, but he feels miserably. I dont understand why wingers dont just run at the defenders instead of doing silly tricks. Hopefully Fergie invests in a new left winger IF he decides to slot Giggsy into the centre. I would still be happy if Giggs stayed on the wing, he is such a fantastic player at his age.
