    No wonder coach Jerry Sloan already likes him.
    ''We felt like some of the things he has will make our players better,'' Sloan said Wednesday. ''Not every player who plays this game can do that.''
    The rookie out of Illinois already is being considered by fans as the missing cog in the Jazz offense, which sputtered last season to a 26-46 record. Injuries also didn't help, but Utah has a huge need at the point.
    The Jazz tried to fill it by trading three first-round draft picks to Portland in exchange for the No. 3 selection Tuesday and a shot at Williams. He knows even more will be expected of him after the Jazz went to such lengths.
    ''I think they're going to love playing with me just because I'm going to make the game a lot easier for them,'' Williams said. ''I look forward to that. I look forward to the challenge of taking over a team and running a team as a rookie.'' </div>

    I read that article. Yahoo sports only reprinted part of it. The whole article came out first in the USA Today. Here's the part that wasn't reprinted.

    Utah hopes to bring in a veteran to help Williams along, but he feels ready to take over now.

    "Sometimes you've got to get on people. It just depends on a situation and what's going on in the game," he said. "That's the job of the point guard. you've got to take over the team early." {Quote}

    I like confidence in a player. But to me this sounds like more than that. He's in no position to be "taking over" anything. He'd be better served to quietly come in and bring what he has to the team effort, and make a place for himself.

    "Sometimes you've got to get on people." Yeah right. He gets on the wrong guy before he blends in, and he'll get put in his place. He'd do well to remember he's just a rookie, and he just got here in the morning mail. When he takes the court, I'd hope for a little more action and a little less mouth!!

    I hope he proves to be what we need, but his lip rubs me wrong.
