who do you think is going to be the rookie of the year for the 04-05 season, i think ben gordon will, he is a very good player, and it looks like he will have a good future with the bulls and take them to the playoffs. the bulls also have luol deng.

If Gary doesn't play for the C's, my pick is Delonte West.

If The Glove though decides to suck it up and ball in Boston, my pick would be Shaun Livingston.

Don't know about that one, Delonte will crumble at the PG position in the NBA. But my pic is going to be Emeka Okafor due to the fact that he is on a expansion team and will get the most court time out of all the rooks. Also he is getting good experience on the Olympic squad and this will be a big benefit. Also the more minutes the more time to produce numbers. And in this league we all know that in choosing the ROY goes by the most numbers not how good your team does. For example, Melo and LBJ.

I have to go with Okafor, he will be the stud for this year. But I think in the long run Howard, and Livingston are going to be the best players out of the draft. And if I had to throw in another name for top careers of these rookies I would skeptically choose Luol Deng.

Okafor will probably win it because he's like the only good player on the squad.

Emeka Okafor has my vote, he is the most NBA ready and can really play hopefully he will play just as good as he did in college if not better. My second choice would be Andre Iguodala if he finds a way to get minutes in the crowded 76ers roster. My 3rd choice would be Dwight Howard he's gonna get a lot of minutes due to the fact he is young, talented and the future of the franchise.

I actually think Emeka is the 2nd option on that squad next to Gerald Wallace who will definitely have a break-out year.

    Emeka Okafor................

He is NBa ready and led his college team to an NCCA chamionship while getting that award. Also he will be leading a team full of scrubs and that will definetly fast forward his development. Geral Wallace and Jason Kaappono are the only other players who can actually score. That's why I think it'll be Emeka Okafor. Jammeer Nelson will be in the race also even if he is a 20th pick. He is NBA ready too. And Jameer would be my 2nd choice to get the award.

My first pick would be Emeka he has the maturity and expierence to play in this leauge,I also think Ben Gordonb will have a great rookie year also and he is my pick behind Okafor.

Of course Andre Iguodala has a chance to get it to .

A lot of you guys are saying Okafur because he is going to be the main option in Charlotte, I do not think that he will be rookie of the year for that reason. Teams will be developing gameplans to stop him. Plus Shaq is in his confrence now, and believe me, Emeka has never played a guy like that in college. My pick is either Ben Gordon or Andre Iguodala, both are solid slashing type scorers. My sleeper is Kirk Snyder, the Dwyane Wade of last year's draft!

I always thought Yao would get the ROY, then Amar? got it, so when I think Emeka Okafor, it won't be him. I'm guessing Al Jefferson.

Ben Gordon was called the Wade of this draft in terms of how he plays, but I guess Snyder could be too.

I'm going with Okafor, Childress still, Howard has a chance also, and Ben Gordon also has a good chance of getting it.

You make a very good point here. Especially with Snyder being the sleeper here. Good post!

Im goin with Chi-Town's BenG. Chicago really didn't have an offensive go to guy in the past. I'd say Ben is a 15/6 guy.

It is either Okafor or Gordon but I have to go with Okafor here, he is the only average player on his team and he has to ability to put up 17-20 ppg...Gordon has a lot of young talent on his team with Hinrich, Curry, Deng, and Chandler so he should get less shots...
