Felix Jones is #28. Mike Jenkins is #31 (remember, Roy is moving to #38 - his college number) Pacman is #21 Bennett is #80
There could be some turnover in the secondary next year. Newman and Hamlin are FA's. We are paying Roy to be a playmaker, and if he has another season like last year, we could cut/trade him. Henry could also get cut. I doubt all 4 happen. I think we re-sign Newman (or give him an extension before the season starts). But Hamlin, Henry, and Williams - I think at least one is gone next year.
Hope to god its Roy, if I had to pick one out of those remaining three. I feel like Henry's injuries last year have made people forget that he lead the league in interceptions through week 4 or so.
Roy makes me so angry sometimes. Hey makes some of the stupidest plays, that I don't know what to think. Also, can someone get him some underarmor that fits? Jesus, that long white sleeve shirt he wears pisses the shit out of me. Looks like he's playing bantam football.

And for good reason; when healthy, he is a playmaker... he is also a very physical CB. The reason you might dump him is because of his age, injuries, his salary, and we'd have Pacman (if he behaves), Newman's extension, Jenkins with a year of experience, Scandrick with a year of experience, and Ball.... its still good depth/talent. Plus, we need to extend Newman, Ware, and Owens (all more important than Henry)... and then you have Barber and Canty, which, we'll have to do something with too.... Fortunately, we can clear up a bunch of cap space quickly. Next offseason, we'll be free of Ayodele/Fasano's cap hit (freeing up 4.5M), we can covert Romo's salary into a bonus (like the Colts do with Manning, the Skins did with Cooley, etc) and save us a boatload of cap space. Extending Owens would also free up some cap space as well. Henry might be on his way out because we have younger players ready to fill that role and we might need some of that cap space. We'll also gain cap space next offseason with Ferguson being off the books too. Glenn will be off the books too (1.7M saved I think) As for Roy... Roy, when he is Roy, is a better S than Hamlin. Problem is, Roy hasn't been Roy for 2 years. If he can return to form, you keep Roy and dump Hamlin. And its not even close. But because the past 2 years, Roy hasn't been his old self, its a question... and if he has another season like last year, then yeah, I think you move on. You don't pay him the coin he is making to be mediocre. If he is a playmaker next season, then you keep him.
I'm pretty high on Hamlin. I wouldn't take too much stock in his pro-bowl status (thank the size of the Cowboys fanbase for that one), but I'd keep him over Roy. First of all because I don't have faith that Roy can get his coverage skills together. Hamlin's better in that regard, and is no slouch when it comes to hitting. I think at the end of the day you keep the better S and for a long time that's been Roy, but now? Eh. I could see Hamlin moving to SS, and throwing Henry (because they've talked about it), or Watkins back there in coverage (not the most stable). Now the best combination is Hamlin/Roy, but as you mentioned, if we're going to have to get rid of somebody...

Hamlin finished 3rd (?) in fan voting... but to get in, he also needed a good chunk of player/coach voting as well.... so he didn't just get in bec. of our fan base either. It certainly helped; but..... As for Watkins, I am not sold on him. He was terrible as a rookie. Last year, he only played in sub packages... Maybe he is the answer; I don't know... The guy I am rooting for is a long shot.... Courtney Brown. He has 4.37 speed (that's incredible; never mind for a FS...) He also played CB in college, so if he could become a FS, it gives us flexibility (he could play man to man with WRs too a la Darren Woodson early on in his career).
