They say the rankings are stat-based, but I'm not sure what rating formula they use. Here's the my ratings, GS/35 (Game Score per 35 minutes), for the 10 players mentioned. It's based on the box score stats and more or less approximates PER, without adjusting for pace. For the very last column, I ignored personal fouls in the formula. I figure that fouls don't mean too much in summer league games, so I thought it was worth showing those as well. Bargnani is helped quite a bit by doing that (unbelievably, he averaged over 8 personal fouls per 35 minutes!). My Rating: <font color=""Green""><font size=""1"">GS/35 = 35*[ (Points x 1.0) + (FGM x 0.4) + (FGA x -0.7) + ((FTA-FTM) x -0.4) + (OREB x 0.7) + (DREB x 0.3) + (STL x 1.0) + (AST x 0.7) + (BLK x 0.7) + (PF x -0.4) + (TO x -1.0) ] / (total minutes)
CODE

<font size=""2""><font color=""Navy"">mpgpts/35reb/35ast/35stl/35blk/35to/35TS%GS/35GS/35*
Roy26.425.24.54.80.80.54.271.0%21.623.6
Foye32.826.54.52.32.30.44.162.2%20.422.0
Brewer25.422.03.72.52.30.72.060.4%19.720.8
Morrison29.229.53.12.40.20.52.455.2%19.421.6
Farmar27.420.63.45.02.20.33.769.7%18.420.1
Williams32.218.03.78.71.10.24.361.0%16.617.8
Thomas27.021.09.12.91.31.83.953.2%15.818.1
Aldrige33.012.37.02.31.11.90.853.1%11.714.5
Ager29.320.12.21.50.303.655.8%9.511.6
Bargnani26.217.65.10.80.51.34.860.1%7.811.5
I think Roy is well above the rest of the rookies, and I consider Foye and Brewer to be about even. Foye will likely play more minutes in Minnesota, however, so he'll probably get more ROY consideration. Farmar looks very good, given his selection.

Quoting TheFreshPrince:

i dont know dude, foye scored more and got way more steals than roy. Roy's only advantage is assist
Roy doubled up Foye in assists. Foye scored marginally more than Roy (once you adjust for minutes played). Plus, Roy scoring efficiency was unbelievable. Over 71% ts% is just ridiculous. And the manner in which he did that scoring makes it even more impressive. He wasn't just spotting up for jumpers. He was creating shots for himself, often scoring in traffic. He's going to be terrific. I think he'll be an all-star within a couple years. Foye was strong, don't get me wrong. It's going to be between Roy, Foye, and Morrison for ROY. Brewer probably isn't going to have the ball in his hands enough for him to match those guys, statistically.
^^those are the three i think will win it too. I dont know though. I read that one game foye had zero assist, but people covering it remember at least two, but whosed to say roy's numbers should have been better too. Also foye wasnt supposed to pass, lol. We really had no other scorers, while the trailblazers summer league team was loaded with talent congrats to brewer btw, he did great. btw, how is his shot coming?

The only game he shot less than 50% from the field was the very last one. He's not going to be a prolific 3-point shooter or great foul shooter any time soon. He was 2 for 3 on three pointers in 6 games. From what I've seen, his midrange jumper is pretty solid, even if the form isn't too pretty. Only real criticism I have is his release might be a little slow.
^^thats good to hear. I really liked him in college, i hope he can stay consistent with his shot beacause his defense could be something great
