Marcus Williams is a dime a dozen. He has the moves, the skills, the talent and the attitude to be one the best in the league. But so did, Stephon Marbury, Steve Francis and Damon Stoudamire among others. And like them, he will have individual success on a certain level but will not be a winner. If he is not careful, his future will already be written. As talented as these type of players are, they are not in the class of a Jason Kidd.
Williams is a VERY promising point guard. It's called the Rookie Wall, guys......we are in mid-Feb after all. he's going to be a solid PG in this league i reckon
I think it should be "Williams is no KID". Williams is playing like a proven vet right now, more than a rook who's just been thrown into the strarting five. Sure, his shot hasn't been falling, but he's proven his passing ability more than anyone could imagine.
I have only seen a couple of his games, but so far I'm impressed with how hes playing. Being a young rookie and playing with Kidd guiding him is going to make Williams an even better player in the long-run. He has a bright future, and I hope to see more of him. Best of luck to him tonight in the rookie game.
