Its been nearly 3 Years and we are still wondering where is the Rooney magic, he is the player who has been compared to Pele, but in my opinion Rooney have not done anything for any team in this country - if i recall the England team he was the main man where people hoped that he will make it happen for England in the world cup but many analyst and commentators have failed to realise that he was the main man behind dumping England (Red Card) out of the world cup and not David Beckham. Its because of him No other striker like Defoe, Bent, Johnson, its because of him England did not perform to full strength.

For Man United: What he has done for them, in the last years he has not even been a top scorer for Premiership let alone winning the premiership, Man united today is not on top because of Rooney its because of Chrstiano Ronaldo.

I wonder when the commentators and media will realise that he is the biggest failure of England Football history. I wonder when they will stop praising him; I wonder when they will stop campaigning about him.

I request and urge everyone to take Rooney as a normal player not as a exceptional player. He is no where near to Pele not even an inch.
Please stop the all the hype about him and lets concentrate on quality football.

I am sorry Rooney but you have to prove yourself to be in the centre of attention.

He carried England to the Euro 04 quater final, look what happend when he was injured, England went out.

Hes only 21, he will be 24 in the next world cup so give him a chance.

rooney isn't a failure. at the end of the day his consistancy is the biggest problem. ronaldo's consistancy is so much better and thats why he is rated so highly. i coul see ronaldo was aways goin to be the better player years ago throughout the rooney hype. the way he plays means he is more noticeabe throughout the match then rooney. rooney is a really good player and i wouldn't chnge him for the world but he is just another classic case of the english media over hyping a player, abnd waitin to shoot him dwn

Rooney isnt the best but he is rated highly because he was outstanding in euro 04. I think he is a great player but he isnt as good as a legend yet because he is only 21.

He has been Englands best striker over the last three years

He stills plays well for Man Utd...even if he isnt the most consistent

Us Man Utd fans are generally happy with his performances and we dont care about others who watch about 2 games of him in a season or just 10mins highlights on MOTD.

I'll never forget Rooney at Windsor Park when we beat England 1-0, he was like spoilt school boy when things were not going his way. He seems to have grown up a bit since then and he can only improve with age!
