    If Rose didn't take a 3 next year, that wouldn't be a bad thing.

    MJ didn't shoot many threes. If guys can't stay in front of Rose on the perimeter even if he isn't a threat from 3, it's all good, IMHO. At least for year 2.

    Maybe Hinrich will start making 3's when they matter and it won't be a big deal that Rose doesn't take 'em.

    Finally we agree on something. Rose has the ability to get to the rim where he can finish, get guys in foul trouble, and get the bigs easy shots or follow ups. If he comes down looking for a three it means one of several bad things. He doesn't have any confidence in his ability to get a better shot, he doesn't think his teammates are going to get it done, or he just doesn't care. If Rose is standing at the three point line with 1 second on the shot clock, that's a different story.
