According to the Mirror, Blackburn are set to be taken over by an American consortium.

    Full article here.

I think this appears very promising and would hopefully give the club a bit of impotus to continue going on and upwards. My only concern though, is that almost every top flight club will be taken over by these multi millionaire investors and the amount of money they inject will all become relative. The cost of high quality new players will simply increase and your Chelsea and Unites will just be spending more, and the rest of us will all be back in the same boat.

    Discuss.

The cost of players is definitely getting more because so many new clubs have so much money that clubs are putting out higher market prices for players as they know clubs have the money and if more than one club wants their player, they're going to get even more for it.

It's not good for the game, but football and many other sports aren't just games anymore, they're businesses and every club wants money like this invested into their club and the executives assure the fans that it's for the good, but if they don't perform even after big signings, the fans will turn against them.

Wityh most managers these days being extremely wealthy...they are always willing to question about buying new players constantly.
