Roy admits hes out of sorts... not gelling well

sounds like roy is having trouble playing with miller. says hasnt felt like this since rookie year. thats a bit disturbing considering hes our best player. or maybe getting beat down by the clippers is more disturbing. not sure whats worse.


Roy continues to look completely out of sorts in the preseason. He admitted after the second Sacramento game that he feels like a rookie all over again, trying to find his place in the Blazers offense. Tonight, I saw him as frustrated as I’ve ever seen him in a game. The Clippers trapped him, slapped him and whacked him any time he got into the lane.

Roy is fighting his emotions right now, unsure of whether he should be frustrated and concerned or whether he should dismiss all of this as preseason. In Sacramento, he told me he doesn’t know what to think, that he needs time to sort it all out. We have arranged to talk Saturday. I will have a story on that for Monday’s editions of The Oregonian.

 

Why do you say it might be because of Miller. It didn't say that from what I read. Roy has struggle in all 3 games and Miller only started the last game.

As for Roy, Who stole his mojo?? Back to LaMarcus, he isn't doing himself any favors with his contract extension. Is it just me, or has he been listless thus far in preseason? To me, I'm not sensing much of a pulse out of him out there. Maybe it's due to the contract extension. But if you're KP, Larry Miller and more so Vulcan. It's probably tough to cut the check or give him the money he want's with him playing as he is. That's why all of this should have been done in the off season. Can't believe were still discussing this.

 

This roster is desperate for a consolidation trade. Or two.

 

If the Celtics can figure out how to get their's with Garnett/Pierce/Allen/Rondo, the Blazers can figure it out as well. It's called being unselfish.

 

Brandon just needs to be reminded that this is still his team and we go as he goes. He'll be fine. The team just played 3 games in 4 days in the preseason. There's nothing to worry about here.

This is preseason and it's also a long season. Roy is a baller and shoudn't have to compromise his game as much as others to "fit in." At the end of the game, it's still gonna be BRoy with the ball in his hands and he'll get to work his magic.

Also, thats just how it is here in Blazer-fan-land. Wins = we are the best team in the league. Loss = destroy and rebuild.
