During the post game interview with Aldridge he said something that was a little funny. He said that Roy came up to Aldridge and said he read somewhere that the Heat said they would slap us in the face. After seeing it, I searched all over to find this quote. I didn't find it anywhere. Could it be Roy used this to try and motivate Aldridge? I mean I don't think I've seen Aldridge more focused than I did during that Heat game. If yes, then Kudos to Roy for lying through his teeth to get his teammates fired up. Reminds me of "Remember The Titans", when Denzel said he had 12 kids, blah, blah, blah. After the QB left his assistant said you don't have 12 brother's and sisters?!?!?
It might work once in a while, but I think it is a good idea if Roy knows how Aldridge works. I would wager this would have been a bad thing to try on Oden when he was healthy.
