8.5 to 9 for 5 years would be great. I really think he's going to blossom with a new situation.

The Boys so overpaid for this guy. Moss went for a 4th round, this guy goes for a 1st, 3rd and a 6th?!?!

    they got hosed.

Moss going for a 4th is an exception, not the rule.

If, say Buffalo wanted to move Lee Evans... a team would have to give up more than a 4th to get him. Or say a team wanted to trade for Brandon Marshall or Dwayne Bowe or Roddy White or, hell, even Desean Jackson... they'd have to give up more than a 4th rounder.

You can't use the Moss for 4th round draft pick as a benchmark.

Moss for a fourth rounder was somewhat of an abomination, per se. The only reason he came so cheap is because his stock is so low. A lot of people thought he was done after how horrible he was in Oakland. His attitude also never helped the cause.

yes, I know it's a rare exception rather than the rule, but a 1st,3rd and 6th for a guy who's best year is 3 years ago?
and he's never been considered one of the 5 best WR's in the game at any time either, except by overzealous Lions fans.

paid waaaay too much. Feels like a knee-jerk reaction to Romo's injury and the urgency to ensure making the playoffs.
If Lions fans are happy, you know you got bent over IMO.

To Roys defense, he's never been in a great QB situation either. Romo is leagues better than anyone that's ever thrown him the ball since he came to the NFL. That aspect alone should help him prosper in Dallas.

It does seem like a lot for a WR, but when you've got that many draft picks to spare, why not take a shot?

This has nothing to do with Romo's injury. We've been trying to do this for 2 years. The Lions wanted multiple firsts at one point. Then they wanted Ware. It finally got to a price we could pay.
