    gives up 2 strike single and another 2 strike single to a lefty hitter. KC 2 NYY 0.
    KC batters are attacking Monty’s soft pitches. Could get real bad here.

    We have/had 4 areas that we needed to improve.
    1- we needed to get Gallo out of this lineup and off this team. We sorta addressed that by trading for Benentendi but Gallo is still here for BaBoone to use and like the moron he is, we know Boone is gonna use him.
    2- we need starting pitching. Instead of getting the best available starter, Cashman was asleep at the wheel and got beat out by the lowly M’s. Now the cost of getting any other starter has increased.
    3- we need a REAL 3B…if only we hadn’t traded Gio for this POS Donaldson we wouldn’t have to worry about this crap. Instead, we traded Gio for an overrated Donaldson who has an immovable contract and IKF who was a throw in, but has been MUCH better than Donaldson.
    4- we need bullpen help. As is, our bullpen is going to be totally worn out come playoff time since NONE of our starters (not even our “ace” Cole) can consistently go 6 or more innings.

    Yankee lefty pitchers having tough time getting lefty hitters out. Montgomery and now Peralta. Ugh.
    And now he walks another lefty batter on 4 pitches. Wow. The weaknesses keep showing with each game.
    Bases loaded again with 2 outs. Peralta cannot throw a strike!

    Better teams will give this team fits.
