The Yankees are finally off that brutal roadtrip, in which they visited LA, Texas, and Minnesota, going 3 and 7. Andy Pettitte looks to stop the bleeding as he faces off against Gil Meche. Meche and Pettitte have posted incredibly similar numbers this year. Meche has posted a 4.28 ERA, and a 1.34 WHIP. Pettitte has a 4.32 ERA, and a 1.37 WHIP. Hopefully, the Yankees can rebound from their roadtrip, and have a strong home series, before going back on the road against Toronto and Baltimore. J. Damon dh D. Jeter ss B. Abreu rf A. we really do suck... i have come to accept this i dont even get mad anymore when we lost to sub par teams
I'm still optimistic about next year. Abreu off the books, Giambi off the books, Pettitte off the books, Pudge off the books. 3 of those guys are type A. Bring on CC, resign Moose. Assuming healthy Hughes and Wanger CC Wang Joba Musina (praying he doesn't have a down year like last year) Hughes Kennedy as spot starter, injury replacement. Damn. Say we sign Tex. Assume Healthy Matsui: Damon LF L Jeter SS R Matsui DH L A-Rod 3B R Tex 1B S Cano 2B L Nady RF R Posada C S Melky/Gardner/Jackson?!?! CF S/L/R
There are still many sub-plots to look for this season. Moose, pitchers coming back, injured players. I'm still excited.
