Looks like from that other thread our two favorite Euros are going to be playing against each other in the quarter finals. Should be especially interesting in that you could actually see them guarding each other a fair amount of the time. Particularly with Rudy on offense. Who wins this matchup? Kind of begs the question--forget about the tournament and who is the better player?
I would say right now Rudy is better, but Batum has a considerably higher (NBA) ceiling, given his age, size and defensive prowess.
Mon dieu! Dios mio! How to decide? Spain has marraige equality. France has haute cuisine. Spain has olive oil. France has wine. Both have nazicommunistmuslim national health. Both countries did really nasty things in the past. France gave us Careme, ballet, and Ravel. Spain gave us Don Quixote, flamenco and Picasso. France gave us Nicolas Batum. Spain gave us Rudy Fernandez. How about a tie?
the game is tomorrow, i'm pretty sure it's just online, espn360 should show it free if you have comcast!
What time is the game? I'll be really interested in seeing how they greet each other and interact. Does anyone know how tight they are? Do they like each other?
http://espn.go.com/broadband/espn360/schedule? click on upcoming. The game is apparently on at 12:15pm.
That's given in EST, and is the first game (Russia/Serbia). Spain/France is the second game, at 3PM. Here's a Eurobasket link. Times there are in CET. Subtract 9 from that time for PST.
Game will start in a few minutes here: http://www.justin.tv/chanel_fcbarcelona/ (spanish commentary) and on espn 360 (english commentary).
