Since most of us joined S2 because of the Blazers I'm going to use that forum has an example of where my head is at...

If a Blazer fan wants to start a thread in the Blazer forum saying that Kobe is a rapist and likes to take Artest in the butt that's fine. It's almost expect of any decent Blazer fan to despise the Lakers. But if someone starts posting that stuff in the Laker forum that's trolling in my opinion. It's a fine line between trolling and teasing, one that is many times a coin flip of a judgement.

For the most part these forums are suppose to be places for fans of a team to enjoy, discuss, debate, share, celebrate and bitch about their team. When fans of other teams go into a team's forum intending to just piss them off that doesn't make that forum fun for the members who support that team.

So what the hell am I talking about? For this week we're going to try this out and see what people think, If you are a Duck fan and want to post something like Beavers are nothing but dirty sheep fuckers post that in the Duck forum. Do not post it in the Beaver forum. If you do, the post will be moved to the Duck forum. If you are a Beaver fan and want to start a thread about how the Ducks are cheating bitches then post that in the Beaver forum. Not the Duck forum.

A post ripping on the Ducks will be enjoyed more in the Beaver forum. A post ripping on the Beavers will be enjoyed more in the Ducks forum. But posts ripping on or insulting a team in that team's forum is only going to piss people off and make the forum less enjoyable for fans of that forum's team.

Anyway, this is being posted in both forums and like I said it will only be for this week. Whether this or some version of this becomes permanent is up to you guys, not me or any of the other mods. Feel free to discuss this. My only intention is to make the Duck and Beaver forums more enjoyable for Duck and Beaver fans.

    Sly

One addition to add, that Sly and I had talked about. Fans of either team are free to post and debate in each and any thread where it is posted. I dont want any Beaver fans to feel just cause its in the Ducks forum they cant post in it, and vice versa. The balancing of that though is, if you are going to get, for lack of a better term, "butt hurt" over the trash talking about OSU frakking sheep, and Oregon being the University of Nike Cheaters, then you dont have to read it.

The banter and trash talk is fun, just dont make it personal. And dont take it personal. :)

Gay. Totally gay, Sly. You do gay so well and I for one, support you in this stand. We all know we need more rules because things are so out of control and we must protect everyone's fragile feelings. Way gay, dude. :devilwink: More rules! Excellent. I can't say it enough. I support more and more rules. The more rigid and structured the board, the better. The more you can tell people how and what to say, the better. People will feel safe and this will lead to a gay environment. Get 'er done, big guy!

    Wheels, wise words.

Is it just me, or has Civil War week kind of lost its luster the past couple years?

Well, when it goes from two winning teams playing for Pac-10 titles, to Oregon playing against a 3-8 team and 29 point favorites this year, it's going to be subdued on both sides prior to the game.

Should the Beavers pull off the upset, though, and it will be unreal until next year's game. It's all on the Beavers in this one. Make a game of it, or you're 3-9, which is an embarrassment. If the Ducks win, it's expected. Kind of sucks, but OS hasn't held up their end of the bargain the past two seasons.

I long for the good old days when we automatically knocked them out of BCS contention in this game. Now we just hope the crappy high school buses OSU rented from Keizer High make it all the way to Eugene with the players.

Ugg...pounding on the Beavers at home will not be satisfying. Only thing that will be nice is to shut up those stupid Beaver fans that come out of the woodwork after every Duck loss. (as if their team has ever won shit). I never hated the Beavers though. If they made it to a bowl game I'd cheer for them. Why do you have to hate one of the Oregon teams? It makes no sense.

I just want to win the pac12 title game, go to the rose bowl and end the season on a good note. But what I really want is to play USC again. We will KILL them next year, I swear to God.
