Rumor: Blazers turned down trade for Hinrich/Deng

    I'd imagine the trade proposed was someting like: Hinrich and Deng for Lafrentz, Fernandez, and Frye.

    Can't see Paxson giving up Deng if the trade didn't include Fernandez.

    Blazers probably made the right move in turning it down.

    I have to think that if the bulls are offering two starters for the other team, they are going to ask for more than a little cap relief and a guy who would start in front of the guy you think is the second coming...

    If this is true then I am glad the Blazers denied it..we wouldn't have gotten much in return.

    If we got Fernandez back in the trade, we'd have a good young prospect, and tons of cap flexibility.

    Fernandez looks very good to me. Perhaps the Bulls see Salmons as being a Deng replacement at a fraction of the cost. I think that's rather crazy, but it'd fit with the idea of trading Deng.

    But yeah, I don't really see that happening. It also seems to me that KP must be difficult to deal with. I'm pretty surprised they got so little done.
