<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Joe Thomas-T- Player Apr. 8 - 8:52 am et The Denver Post reports the Lions will likely trade the No. 2 overall pick to a team targeting Wisconsin left tackle Joe Thomas. Here's a new one. A few teams that need a left tackle: the Giants, Cardinals, Dolphins, Colts, Panthers, Bucs, and possibly the Texans.Source: Denver Post LaRon Landry-DB- Player Apr. 8 - 8:42 am et The "rumored trade" involving Asante Samuel, the Patriots, and Redskins would send Washington's No. 6 overall pick to New England in exchange for the No. 28 pick and the Pats' franchise player. The Boston Herald speculates that New England could have its eye on LSU's LaRon Landry, who was recruited by Bill Belichick buddy Nick Saban. The Patriots are also weak at both safety positions.Source: Boston Herald</div>Take them for what it's worth. Personally I don't see New England wanting to package picks/players to trade up considering they have made their history stockpiling picks, not the other way around.

They're only giving up one pick.

i still think if the raiders take jamarcus russell, the 49ers will go into talks with the lions. they have a bunch of picks for the depth the lions want, and they have the #11 pick, and then the 49ers can draft calvin johnson.

I could also see either the Falcons or the Vikings making a similar move for Calvin Johnson.

No way the Niners would move up for Calvin Johnson, they value their picks. They'll have a great recruitin class without him as usual (In the Nolan Era), which will be much bigger.
