Not gonna happen, it'd be nice though, move either him or Vlad to the bench to give us a nice sixth man.

Or put Lamar at the point and Harrington at the 3 and Vlad at the 4 and let Nash guard Odom.

But then we don't have someone fast enough to guard Nash, Tony Parker, T.J. Ford (when he's not injured), etc...

LOL Lamar is faster than Magic isnt he. We can have Kobe guard them but, he will get way too tired.

Yeah, that lineup wouldn't work well. Lamar would get burned all day on defense, and Kobe would waste too much energy trying to guard all these quick point guards

While I don't think Lamar is nearly quick enough to guard the Nash's and Parker's of the world, I do think he could. What you neglect is he's EXTREMELY long. He may have issues staying in front of them, but his length could prevent them from going around him. Beyond that...he'd abuse them in the post.

Beyond any of this...I don't know if I'm interested in this deal. While Harrington gives us another scoring punch, I don't want to lose Mihm or Cook right yet. They give us depth at the big man position, and if we lose them, we become unbelievably thin with just Bynum and Turiaf left around.

Then we can sign French soccer phenom Zinedine Zidane to a 10-day contract to deal with the quicker guards.

Amen to that. But am I the only one who doesn't want to see Brian Cook in a Laker uniform this year.

He gives us good size at 6'10", and he also stretches the defense with his shooting touch. Best of all, because of that, he can bring some of the interior defenders outside, giving Kobe and Lamar a little more space to work with inside. So, while he may not play defense and is rather one dimensional on offense, he's still somewhat valuable to us.
