Exactly how many records did these guys set yesterday??? 47-17! they destroyed Bulger. when he got injured in the first half, it was all over. he didnt look comfortable and every trime he went down, you would think he wasnt gettin up. all around good game for falcons. Man the Rams need a new special teams unit.
Rams got their asses handed to them. Bulger took a huge punishment, and now we're 1 win away from the Super Bowl game. If the Falcons were underestimated before they shouldnt be any longer. Also for the record, the QB with the 299 passing yards will be sitting at home next week while the "over-rated" QB who has "no accuracy" plays the game to go to the SB. Mean while Vick was 12/16 in the passing area I dont care if it was only for 82 yards because he rushed for 119. Mr.Pocket passer got drilled all night long! 2 more wins to go!
Nah, Falcons will win and the Eagles will have lost 4 NFC Championships in a row! I admire your confidence though, we will just have to see how it plays out.
confidence?! i think well win, but ya can never be too sure(something i realized 2 years ago) but i am preparing for the worst
Yes confidence. You said "the Eagles will win." Thats pretty confident in my opinion anyway. I wouldnt count out the Falcons at all, it wont be an easy win but it should be one hell of a game.
Don't you just LOVE IT, Bry? All that crap we had been hearing all week about Vick and the team and now who is sitting at home? Bulger and Manning both! TAKE IT TO 'EM MIKE!!

This Eagles defense is much better then the one you faced in 2003, and this time McNabb is not coming off of a broken Ankle. It should be a fun game. But if the Eagles score early, and take the run away from the Falcons, it will be along game for Michael Vick. I just think our D is too fast (like the Bucs) for him to be able to roam around like he did against the Rams. To beat the Eagles, he will have to throw the ball. The key will be whether Peerless Price can get open in one-on-one coverage, cause I think we will stack 8 in the box, and force the throw.
2 thoughts. 1) The Eagles are playing another team from the south for the title like the last 2 years 2) The Falcons won in Lambeau a few yrs ago so I don't think playing in Philly will be as intimidating unless Radio Shack has a sale on batteries and it snows.

The Falcons are a better all-around team than in '02. 2. Reeves kept Vick in the pocket trying to make him a "traditional" pocket passer (thank gawd he is gone). Not the case this year. There is no stigma attached to Vick throwing for 100 and rushing for 150 - maybe in this forum it is but who cares as long as the stat sheet has "W" next to it. 3. The Eagles can't match the speed of Tampa's D. Sure there is Trotter and a good secondary but not enough to stop all the weapons. We've got a 6'5" and 6'4" receiver - hope we use them vs. the diminutive back of Philly. This game won't be a blowout like it was vs. the Rams but I feel confident that the Falcons will find a way. I like the matchups on offense and defense.

If we can shut down Randy Moss and Nate Burleson and Marcus Robinson, I think we can handle Peerle WayOVERPrice(d) and Brian Finneran. Alge Crumpler is an excellent TE, and will be a tough one. I dont think this game will be a blow out, but I do know that Vick will not win this one with his legs. Jim Johnson is a great D-Coordinator, and he will scheme the whole defense to keep Vick in the pocket. I cannot wait till Sunday, this will be fun.

That was a good route and catch on Saturday but we are going to need more plays from him in 1-1 coverage. We got the rookie Jenkins (6'4") who is starting to make some plays in the passing game.
The funny thing about Jenkins, is that he was a undrafted rookie free-agent that we picked up this year, I guess he didnt make the team for some reason. He does look pretty good though.

They also have a very good defense. I would be concerned that your offense will not be able to do anything the whole game. I predict that the Eagle's score fewer than 14 points.

The Eagles wont shut down DVD. #1 ranked rushing team in the NFL and thats the Eagles defenses weakness. It'll be tough for them. So as the title of this thread is Running to the Championship, they will run all the way to the Super Bowl. If by some chance they dont win on Sunday, atleast maybe then they'll gain a little respect from people that they havent gotten any from all year for getting this far.

If by some chance they dont win on Sunday, atleast maybe then they'll gain a little respect from people that they havent gotten any from all year for getting this far.</div> Lets get a few things straight. Eagles rush defense is not a weakness, it's a phylosophical style of defense that they like to play. They let teams get short yardage stuff, and keep them from the big play, in turn keeping the point total low. Thats why in the first 14 games of the season (before the starters sat out) they led the league in defensive ppg. I think the Falcons are a very different team from most in the NFL, almost like Nebraska in college where running is the 1st priority by both QB's and RB's. I think you will see the Eagles stack the line of scrimmage, Spy Vick and make him beat us with his arm, and we'll see if he can do that.
Dont be so sure that they will shut down Vicks running or the Falcons running for that matter, he will beat you with both his arm and his legs. If by some chance you stop his run, I have confidence he can use his arm to beat you. I dont have to worry about that though, because the chance of the Eagles shutting down their running game is slim to none. P.S. I'm giving the Eagles the slim chance, just to humour the fans and to be fair, theres always a chance.
You know what's funny, you are talking about one player beating a whole team. It will be a fun game, but I highly doubt that Vick will do all you think he will, I guess we will have to wait and see.
