Tuesday night, the Rapid City Rush battled the Wichita Thunder for just the fourth time this season. Wichita was lifted to a 3-1 by a two-goal effort Ian Lowe and 22 saves by Torrie Jung. The Rush are back in action for Military Appreciation Night on Friday, January 11th against the Wichita Thunder. Tickets are available at gotmine.com or by calling 716-7825.

Ian Lowe potted the opening goal for the Thunder at the 14:20 mark of the first, deflecting a shot Nathan Lutz to claim the lead heading into the first intermission.

Five minutes into the second frame, the Rush tallied the equalizing goal with a wrist shot from the left face-off circle by Jarrett Konkle who notched his team leading 16th goal of the season. The Thunder would regain the lead with 3:16 left in the frame as Ian Lowe would deflect in his second of the night to make it 2-1 after two.

Despite numerous chances for both sides, Wichita's Greger Hanson's empty-net goal served as the only tally, securing the 3-1 Thunder win.
