Tuesday night, the Rapid City Rush battled the Wichita Thunder for just the fourth time this season. Wichita was lifted to a 3-1 by a two-goal effort Ian Lowe and 22 saves by Torrie Jung. Ian Lowe potted the opening goal for the Thunder at the 14:20 mark of the first, deflecting a shot Nathan Lutz to claim the lead heading into the first intermission. Five minutes into the second frame, the Rush tallied the equalizing goal with a wrist shot from the left face-off circle by Jarrett Konkle who notched his team leading 16th goal of the season. The Thunder would regain the lead with 3:16 left in the frame as Ian Lowe would deflect in his second of the night to make it 2-1 after two. Despite numerous chances for both sides, Wichita's Greger Hanson's empty-net goal served as the only tally, securing the 3-1 Thunder win. Other Rush News: Join the team!
