The names keep changing as injuries and defections continue to rob the Rush of some of their best players. Yet it seems the only way to keep the Rush out of the Arena Football League playoffs is to do away with the Arena Football League. Receivers Syvelle Newton and Marco Thomas, who signed with the team in mid-June, combined to catch 20 of Russ Michna's passes for 272 yards and five touchdowns as the Rush clinched a postseason berth by beating the Arizona Rattlers 55-50 Saturday before 8,452 at Allstate Arena.
