A week ago, Thorn, Vandeweghe, Frank and Polinsky drove to Philly to watch Ryan Anderson, the 6'10" small forward, work out for the Sixers. There were others there, including Speights, but Anderson was the reason for the trip, say reporters.

Then, in the past two days, his name has been included in the list of players who the Nets are considering at #21. Today, Chad Ford (who has always had good Nets sources) says Anderson will be the pick at #21. He did average 21 and 12 in the PAC-10, shooting 41% from the arc, and 20 and 9 overall. We could do worse.

I've said that once I saw the Rod Benson video of Anderson: he'd be the best pick at 21.

Chad Ford has us passing on Bayless?

    I doubt it.

I dont hate the Blazer deal if the top 9 break poorly for us, but Bayless falling would be ideal.

You get the shooter, then at 21 you have your pick of bigs.

Eh. Hibbert will be gone. Hickson might be gone. Rush might be gone. CDR might be gone. I don't have any problem with Anderson.

Although, I'd rather have Lee. I sorta hope Rod has something up his sleeve.

Thanks for depressing me Pegs. That's just all the key guys I wanted to draft. Them and Westbrook, who will also be gone.

DAlessandro says the Nets think Bayless is too much like Harris, which I disagree with.

Last time the Nets passed on a Wildcat combo guard who wears the No. 0 it didnt work out too well.
    Some guy named Arenas.

Personally, Bayless is the guy I hope drops, rather than Gordon. But I still like Gallinari most of all, so the Nets apparently.

I've been on the Anderson bandwagon since early in his Freshman season.

Can't go wrong with Anderson as the Nachbar replacement. Can run the floor suprisingly well for a guy his size. Shooting touch from 15 and out. Finishes at the hole effectively, not really a back to the basket type player, more of a finisher thana creator. Can be effective in certain spots, of the game. Quality pick at 21.

Seems very well spoken. Wouldn't mind him and Nachbar both on this team to spread the floor.

    Anderson - Hardin duo again?

Anderson is a PF not a SF

My only problem with Anderson is that if we trade up for Love I wouldn't want to pick another PF. Not to mention we already have a million PFs as it is.

I've written about Anderson before. He'd be a good pick at 21, although he's very different than most of the players we thought we'd get at that point (Speights, Hickson, etc).

Perimeter oriented PF with a great knack for rebounding. Not super athletic, but not clumsy slow either. Great, great shooter with a very nice touch inside. Smart and likeable guy. I'm quite sad that he decided to get an agent and stay in the draft, I guess Mike Montgomery couldn't convince him to stay.

With Yi, Anderson is less likely here I believe.
