Though New York Rangers captain Ryan Callahan said that his surgically repaired left shoulder "felt great" and "responded well" to contact in Sunday's practice, he is not expecting to play in the team's season opener against the Phoenix Coyotes on Thursday.

    "I think Thursday's a no-go," he told ESPNNewYork.com after Tuesday's practice.

It's going to be a small, offensively weak lineup for a month or so, especially if you have Boyle and Pyatt on a 3rd line. Once Callahan and CH return Richards can slide down to 3C. I'd like to see Pouliot on the top line but if he's got chemistry with Brass and MZA keep him there I guess. Can MZA handle 2nd line duties long-term? I'd also eventually switch Miller and Pyatt between 3/4.
