Sounds like torts is about to run him out of town ala gaborik. Since torts loves girardi would that be a straight up swap columbus accepts. If not, what else you think we need to add to pot. Kid probably figures he is career will last longer if he doesn't use his body for target practice

In no universe will Girardi get you a player like Johansen, who is only 23 and has already had 2 25+gl seasons.

I'm sure they'd want some of our young players like Fast, Miller, Hayes, Kreider, Lindberg, etc which i would do since Johansen can be a total stud.

I would give them Fast and Miller. Maybe throw in a third round pick as well.

Johansen can be an impact, 1st line player. Neither Fast or Miller project to be more than 3rd liners. I'd think they want at least 1 player with top-6 upside, so i'd think one of Kreider/Hayes would have to go.

Depends how badly trots devalues the kid. Sitting him out, calling him a fat slob is gonna get a little less return than maybe he would normally have gotten

What else did anybody expect out of John Tortorella?

He is at it again......I'm just glad he's outta NY!
He'd already trade Kreids, Miller, and anybody named
    Nash!

He's one f'kin lunatic.....who always gets sports page headlines.

Bet the NY Post misses him. lol

It would take at least Miller a 1st and Skjei or PB. Johansen is one of the best young talents in the game. Girardi might bring back a 4th liner or 2nd round pick at this point. His contract is big issue.

    ^^^^^^Rangers don't own a 1st next year.............it belongs
to Arizona (Yandle). An injured Girardi brings them zilch.

Stepan out of town would be great. Don't think his NTC kicks in until later on in the contact. Can't trade Skjei. Not with our overpaid, dumbass defenseman. Not trading Buchnevich. Money has to match up. Torts loved Stepan and Staal.

Stepan, Staal for Johansson, Tyutin and Bourque. Money matches up. Just a matter of getting Tool Staal to drop his NMC/

JD's pattern is to trade guys for lots of first round picks. However, I think Columbus needs to start winning now. For the first time I would be open to trading Hayes, Miller and Yandle for Johansen.

Let's face it. If Buchnevich comes over, you are much better at forward. Would the Jackets do that? Don't know. Their defenseman are horrific. They would want to sign Yandle which means they would have to find a way to dump some salary. Good thing Hartnell is having a good year. They can probably move him.
